Its come to that time… the time when all the new members become initiated!

This Wednesdays social is gonna be huge and awesome! We’ll start again in K-Bar lounge around 8pm on Wednesday. The lounge is just next to K-Bar (the big glass room) We’ll be getting some drinks promos sorted from the bar as well!

Fancy dress theme is “Super Heroes”, and the more original and unique (and tacky!) the better!

This may seem like short notice, but this info has been up on the www.kentunion.co.uk Kickboxing group since last Thursday!

As that is the only place where ONLY kickboxing members can view, I’ll be updating info on there more regularly. You need to log on and check there every so often, it only takes 5 mins!

Another reminder, anyone who hasn’t yet paid their membership on that website MUST do so if they wish to continue their kickboxing training. We need to fill in insurance forms for every member, and we can’t do that until a member has paid their membership and brought their receipt to us!

Grab us up on the balcony after this Monday or Thursdays class to get your membership cards, handwraps, and the necessary forms.

See you all at training tomorow, get your thinking caps on for your UNIQUE super hero costume!

As you got told on Monday, we’re having a social this wednesday, starting at Origins at 8pm. We’re gonna do a lot of fun games, and probably some drinking games as well (non-drinkers can join in!) and then onto a mini bar crawl accross the other college bars before hitting the Venue!

Quick reminder - bring your student card, some cash, some mates and some ID if you’ve got it. The bars have been asking for ID a bit lately because of local college kids coming onto campus to drink (clever little buggers…).

So, see you all there! Theres no fancy dress theme or anything, so just turn up looking like your sexy self!

Hiya all, sorry the site wasn’t working the last few days… my bad!
I hope you’ve enjoyed your first week and half of Kickboxing, I know from the people I’ve spoke to that people are having a great time in session (and an even better time at the socials!!!).

As you know, only the first 2 weeks of training are free, after that the sports centre will charge their entry fees and you must sign upto the Kent Kickboxing club.

Membership fee is £25 for the year. Thats it. No “per session fees” from us, just the one off fee which covers a set of handwraps (protects your knuckles and hands) sports insurance (just in case) and also towards the extra stuff we do on the socials etc.

Make a profile, then click on “groups” and find Kickboxing Club. Then using the link “Pay your membership” you can pay online using your Bank Card, or print off a form and then pay at the Mandella building (behind the Venue) who will take cash, cheques, cards etc.

We’ve heard that the Kent Union Website Payments website is a little buggy, and so we recommend people print off the form and pay in the Mandella building

Don’t forget guys, social this Wednesday 3rd October, starting at Origins 8pm and then we’ll do a mini bar crawl to the venue., along with plenty of other “distractions” that we have planned for you guys ;)

Well hope you all like the new website, hopefully it’ll get used by members a lot more than the old one!

The idea behind using Wordpress is all committee members can have a username login, so that they can all keep our members up to date with the latest news and info! Also, we really need you to send those Kickboxing Photo’s in to us! (Yes, we know they’re on Facebook already but c’mon!)

So any queries, e-mail them to me and I’ll see what I can do! Anyone who feels they deserve to be able to post stuff here, create an account and then e-mail me or grab me in class!
